Advanced Placement (AP)Advanced Placement is a national program created by Collegeboard.
Students enroll in an Advanced Placement course and complete college level work throughout the course of the year. In May, they have the option to complete AP Exams for the courses they choose to potentially earn college credit. To earn college credit, students are required to earn a score of 3 or higher (on a scale of 5) on AP Exams. However, colleges dictate the minimum AP score acceptable for credit at their institution and the specific course credit awarded for the tests taken. LCHS students interested in taking AP Courses must meet CFISD grade requirements for advanced courses and select the desired courses during course registration in the Spring. |
